What We Treat
Varicose Veins
Varicose Veins
When the valves don’t function properly, the rope-like, bulging veins can make your legs feel heavy, achy, and swollen, especially when you’ve been standing or sitting for a long time. We use Duplex Ultrasound to identify the reflux and develop a plan for treating your veins that meets your schedule.
Spider Veins
Spider Veins
Small red, blue, or purple veins just beneath the skin’s surface. These are usually cosmetic but can be itchy or stinging after an extended day. In treating spider and reticular veins, we begin by addressing the underlying “feeder” veins.
Restless Leg Syndrome
Restless Leg Syndrome
This symptom of needing to move during the night because of leg discomfort or swelling in the ankles can be associated with venous reflux. When it’s the veins, treatments and home remedies can alleviate nighttime symptoms.
Cosmetic Hand and Facial Veins
Cosmetic Hand and Facial Veins
Perhaps noticeable veins on your hands and/or small facial veins are a source of concern for you. We can help you achieve the softening of these veins with minimal down time, based on your skin type and desired results.
How We Treat Veins
- Radiofrequency ablation (RFA): A thin catheter delivers controlled heat to close faulty veins, an outpatient procedure designed for comfort and quick recovery.
- VenaSeal™ closure: A medical adhesive seals the problem vein without heat; done in-office with minimal aftercare.
- Sclerotherapy: Targeted injections shrink and fade visible veins; used for legs, hands, and face.
More Ways We Help
Ultrasound-guided foam sclerotherapy
We see, through ultrasound, the tiny foamy substance enter the veins that supply your clusters. It’s an easy doctor’s visit, and it’s a good alternative if you have tough areas that return again and again.
Microphlebectomy
If the rope-like vein is a problem, we remove the vein through a couple of pinhole incisions. This is done without numbing the entire area and is closed without stitching. People usually walk the next day
Compression & conservative care
Small habits go a long way: Medical-grade compression, short walks each day, elevating your legs, and basic skin care can work wonders in reducing soreness and inflammation and will help you see better results.
Duplex ultrasound & mapping
High-resolution imaging reveals just where the blood is backing up. We use this “map” to create an appropriate order of treatment, so each step follows the previous one.
Staged plans
Great results always happen in an orderly fashion: first, the source vein, and then the cleanup of the other veins and spider veins. We space it all out so that the recovery is effortless and the progress is smooth.

FAQs About Vein Treatment
Do I need a referral?
Not typically. Most patients book directly with us. If your insurance requires a referral, we can help you confirm that.
Can I drive myself?
Typically, yes. We use local anesthesia for our procedures. But if we foresee anything more potent than that, we will contact you in advance so you can make arrangements for someone to give you a ride home.
How soon can I walk or exercise?
Begin walking on the same day. Light exercise may resume in 2-3 days, and more strenuous physical activity in a week, but check with your healthcare provider.
Is treatment covered by insurance?
If symptoms and ultrasound indicate medical necessity (e.g., painful varicose veins), it is usually covered. We check for insurance benefits and take care of prior authorizations.
Do you treat spider veins for cosmetic reasons?
Yes. Sclerotherapy is also used for treating spider veins located in the legs, face, and hands. You should expect a short treatment course.
What happens at the first appointment?
We review your symptoms and goals, perform a focused exam, and, if appropriate, order a duplex ultrasound to check for reflux. You’ll leave with a clear, step-by-step plan.
